Maria Littleton is a Licensed Psychotherapist. She is the Clinical Director of Genesis New Beginnings. Maria has a background in psychology and counseling. She obtained her degrees at California State University of Fullerton. Maria has a long history of working with families and individuals with addressing mental health issues. She currently has a private practice, is also the clinical director of an alcohol and drug detox facility, has a retreat program, and is currently working on a podcast that focuses on dismantling the stigma of mental illness.

Some of Maria’s previous work includes: developing and implementing a Crisis Response and Emergency Psychiatric Evaluation program for the County of Santa Barbara. In the process of this project, Maria developed strong relationships with other community partners such as local law enforcement, emergency medical technicians, fire department, and local hospitals and healthcare providers in raising awareness about mental health and developing a community team approach. During her career with the County of Santa Barbara, Maria, also trained and educated local law enforcement and fire department personnel on the multiple facets of psychiatric crisis’.
